Genesis released an all-electric version of the GV70 luxury SUV. Read on for everything you need to know.

A new electric version of the Genesis GV70 SUV has been released, with a cruising range of more than 300 miles.

This alternative to Tesla Model Y and Audi Q4 e-Tron also has 480 horsepower and is only suitable for all-wheel drive.

The new electric Genesis GV70 will only provide all-wheel drive, which means it has dual motors. It has 480hp and 700nm torque and can propel it from 0-60mph in 4.2 seconds.

Genesis claims that the new electric GV70 can travel more than 300 miles on a single charge. It also supports 350kw charging, so it only takes 18 minutes to charge from 10% to 80%.

This new electric SUV will support vehicle-to-load charging, just like the Hyundai Ioniq 5. This means that you can run some household appliances, such as kettles, by plugging them into the car.

The new electric version of Genesis GV70 has the same design as gasoline and diesel models.

This means it has the same split headlights and unique grille design. At the rear, it has the same inclined roof line and LED taillights.

Inside, anyone who has used the standard GV70 is also familiar, the only difference is the use of a new three-spoke steering wheel.

The new electric Genesis GV70 is currently only released for the Chinese market, so it is not yet certain when it will enter the UK market. You may see official disclosures in early 2022.

Pricing has not yet been determined, but you can expect it to exceed the standard car’s £39,450. Nearly £35,000 is a safe bet.
